I was tweeting proudly that I picked 18 out of 24 Oscar categories correctly as “La La Land” Producers were accepting the Best Picture award when…OOPS, make that 17 correct! Congratulations to “Moonlight” for the Ultimate Best Picture win. I did pick the 6 biggest awards: Best Actor, Actress, Supporting Actor, Supporting Actress, Director, but missed on Best Picture. I missed on Best Makeup and Hairstyling, Live Action Short (“Sing”? Really?), Sound Editing, Sound Mixing, and Film Editing. It was a very entertaining night and the SNAFU made it that much more memorable. Speaking of memorable, the “In Memoriam” segment included a memorable “Both Sides Now” sung by Sara Barielles. The creator of “Waitress” on Broadway joined us in 2015 on “A Prairie Home Companion” at Tanglewood.
